At William Hackett, we continually strive to improve the safety and operational performance of our chain and lever hoists. Experience shows us that pawls and pawl springs are prone to failure and need to be frequently replaced. This led us to look at new ways to improve the safety of hoists, and the concept of the Quad Pawl was born. The patented Quad Pawl design enhances the resilience of the hoist, using all four pawls to engage with the ratchet gear in an offset configuration.
The William Hackett hoist range is used by contractors employed on projects and the assets of many of the world’s leading operators including: BP, Shell, Swire and ExxonMobil.
William Hackett hoists with integrated Quad Pawl technology provide operators with increased levels of resilience to failure and finer tolerance adjustment, and following international success and widespread adoption of the William Hackett C4 hoists, we have now expanded the Quad Pawl technology across the range..
